I am the Owner and President of GCI Insurance Brokers. I joined GCI Insurance in 2009 with my parents Mike and Julie Smith who were the prior owners until I acquired the agency in 2018. This agency has always been a part of my life.

I am proud to say many of our customers have been long time clients of GCI Insurance and have carried that legacy on to their children, grandchildren neighbors and friends. I have overseen building relationships with commercial and agricultural accounts since I started. The customers we serve at GCI are the same families and businesses who live and thrive in the same community as I do. The concerns and needs of my clients are generally the same things I deal with in my business and family. I pride myself on being knowledgeable in many areas of insurance and I am pleased to say I have a great team of outstanding people representing years of insurance experience. As our agency continues to grow, we will continue to make customer relationships and service a top priority in this agency.

I graduated with a management degree from California State University, Chico. I obtained my property and casualty license and crop insurance certification. I am a board member of the Agent Crop Insurance Advisory Board and continue to make a commitment to contributing to many industry- related and non-profit organizations in our community. Family and friends are everything to me. Outside of the office, I spend as much time as I can with my family and my wife Ashley and 3 daughters, Tenley, Lainey and Charlotte. When time permits, I also enjoy golfing and hunting with many of my long time friends and clients.
